> Just think how good coach I would have been with 8 more years of training!
Just think how much more your life would have derailed having this timesink on your hands the last 8 years. ;)

To think that by now you could have been proud owner of a full legend snotling team.

Good point! But to be honest I was doing plenty of derailing anyway in real life 10 years ago that FUMBBL might have saved me from =)

The site was WAY different back then in both look & functionality.
Pretty much EVERYTHING was done manually so pretty much EVERYTHING had to be approved before you could do anything else. Skill choices had to be submitted, games had to be uploaded, teams had to be approved. There were no team logos or custom anything nor was there anything near a game finder & the client was no where near site-side either. We TRULY have it made now.
So show Christer that you appreciate all the work he & his entourage have put into this site & donate today & reclaim your gold status!

Thank you very much for the info Nightbird. What did the website look like?
Oh, and as you can see I've already got gold status, but I will make sure to donate again at some point as I do appreciate this site and all the effort put into it by all the FUMBBL staff.

Joined in October 2004 but I don't remember that skill choices had to be submitted?!

I only played one game, and never got a skill. I don't remember joining, don't remember playing the game, don't remember the website... nothing.

I remember submitting teams for approval and finding games in chat that you would have to host yourself.
Also I think the players were just circles with letters. But I don't remember submitting for skills. 10 years ago was so long. LOL.

Its coming up to ten years for me. I remember it being very similar to now, with different rules. I liked to argue with guys in the chat for not giving reasons for not playing, or why they wouldn't play me. Any good teams wouldn't get games. Waaaaay more cherry picking back then. I used to play a ton of Faction. That was a soccer type pyramid through 3 divisions, to the top. I actually loved it alot.
I also remember gang fouls that actually worked and I remember the eye. The best thing back then was the luck meter. I wish we could get that back on here. It was baloney but gave a topic of discussion during the games. Its funny for me to still see guys on here from back then. Its been a long time for me. Chainsaw is right, it is a waste of time, that no one will remember or care about. Blood Bowl is for the now anyways.
One person I do remember is mikafreak, later known just as Angie. I enjoyed the little chat games that were being played on her expense. Who could be the first to get kicked off the chat by her. Good times :)

"Lfg" + team was the irc command to bowlbot when you wanted a game.
Then you had to setup a proxy server and ports and hope that the opponent could connect.
If you want to see the old client, just replay a really old game.
I remember that the skill choice and buy player popups looked exactly the same as now. No submitting what i remember.

You broke the site rules there, mate. Mult-account. Guess you'll have to be banned.
