I don't want to hurt his feelings!
Up to the point that he reached his 176 SPP to become a legend, Subcomandante Marcos hadn't missed a game. After a Serious Concussion (fireball, -AV), Damaged Back (skulls, Ni) and now a Fractured Skull (skulls, -AV). He has the same chance of staying in the game as a goblin, apart from the fact that he'll be targeted more than any goblin alive.

That would maybe, maybe, be ok on a blitzer, but his build is made to be in the thick of things. This means that brings up the team value by 220k, meaning a whole different calibre of opponents, just to be knocked out or further injured after a couple of turns. He isn't even very spectacular - no stat increases, only one double and not a record breaker of any kind either. He should clearly be retired, but I just can't bring myself to it.

In my mind he's a fighter who just keeps on going until he can't any longer; he wants to die fighting and would get deeply depressed if I just went and retired him.

Have you had similar moral dilemmas when one of your favourite players have become injured, or do you power game? Looking forward to reading your thoughts.

Oof... I am typically all about letting things die on the pitch. But I also don't typically have things regenerate on me against my wishes. I also don't typically see things live one enough to get double AV cracks and niggles while adding 176 SPP to the team's weight. This is a case of a Friday afternoon firing if I ever saw one...

My 7av goblins laugh at your 6av wight.

Don't you have a healing potion or something?

Fire and forget. Sorry mate, but you love this team too much to let one dead man drag it down.

I get the sentiment, but you have to be realistic about those things. Let him take his well-earned place in the hall of fame, or potion him if you think he's worth it, which from a strictly strategic point of view he ain't with only one Double and no +Stats.

Keeping him for fluff reasons is awesome. But if you have a potion, I'd consider using it on him.

I think this is alluded to but I think the answer to the question is a simple one, if its a team where the fluff is the key thing then keep him if it fits. If having the best team possible is the goal then retirement is surely the best thing for him as although a Legend he doesn't seem legendary enough for a potion.
