The Grid - do it!
When I rediscovered Blood Bowl a while back I decided I was going to concentrate on just one race and become really good at that before trying anything else. I chose Necromantic for their interesting mix of players, but I never did get as good as the best coaches.

Recently I've started to go outside my comfort zone, trying races like Slann and High Elves. And last week I made up my mind - I'm going to fill The Grid. I've got a long way to go, obviously, but I'll get there.

I'm writing this mainly to get more coaches to join this endeavor - it's so much fun! It forces you to try new styles and tactics and will more easily get you matches. Tonight i shocked a fellow coach by challenging his Dwarfs to play my Amazons. I was scared as heck, but I survived!

All the experience trying out different races will most likely help me take that next step in my development as a coach, but if it doesn't I sure as hell will have had a lot of fun doing it.

Always good to try new things. If you want a bit more challenge for your elf teams, join the E.L.F.

YARR!

As the biggest Grid fan on the site I hereby offer my help for those matchups that are truly hard to get.

Rbthma: Oh yes, the E.L.F.! I will definitely look into it; I've read about E.L.F. before, but didn't give it much thought then as I never used to play elven teams.

Cloggy: Thank you very much sir! I've got some hard found teams left to complete Slann and Undead, but I've got so many teams I haven't even tried yet, so I'll just play them in the mean while. I will most likely be of need of your services in the future though. :)

I'm sure you will. I have only 4 left to go for my third Grid, but aside from the odd Human vs Slann game, which I would have expected to find ages ago, I'm stuck with just dorfs needing flings, gobs and Underworld.

Those last few are just darn difficult :)

I finally completed one line of my grid last week (ashamed to say was chaos) but getting there with a few others - it is an awwesome endeavour!!

as an inferior Grid lover to Cloggy I would also like to offer any help you need along the way especially those hard to get match-ups.

When you have done the Ranked grid are you interested in filling the Box and Stunty ones? There are groups for those I can PM you if you like :)

Take care and good hunting!!

Hail fellow grid fillers. I propose we help each other out. Clearly we cannot play back to back matches against each other but put a few games in the middle and all is well. Cloggy, Dalfort, and Radge, I offer my flings, gobos, ogres, and underworld squads as sacrificial lambs if you will reciprocate. Send me a PM and we will get this thing straightened out!

If you want to play a grid with a single team, look for the flings/ogres/goblins matchups before you reach a high TV, it will be a lot harder to find them later on!
