The Dirty Star Ring

The Deserted Isles is home to a number of prestigious competitions. Every summer, the most infamous Stars of Blood Bowl descend upon the township of Mootborough for the brutal Dirty Star Ring (aka Dirty Ring). The winning star will be presented with the coveted trophy, a rusty iron ring, The Dirty Ring.




The Rules.
The competition comprises of three pools of 4 teams. Each team will be given 300k gold to spend on inducements. The bonus inducements must be spent on a unique Dirty Star (listed below), and bribes. After these purchases if there is more than 50k left this will be spent on a dirty tricks card. Bribes must be used to keep the Dirty Star in the game. Only if the Dirty Star is in casualty may the bribe be used on another player.

After the round robin the winners of each pool will advance to the semi finals. Tiebreakers (let FUMBBL decide - I think it's CAS diff + TD diff).
One wild card team will join them. The Wild Card will be the team with the Dirty Star who has caused the most casualties (by any means). First tie breaker, the team who has taken out the most Dirty Stars. Second tie breaker the team who has committed the most fouls.

I know you don't want it, but it's the Dirty Ring... a spiked ball will be used in all games. Also Fouling will receive a +1 to the armour roll.

Entry
As with the Big Star Cauldron the teams will be selected on a first come first served basis. However, as we always like to encourage new blood this will be a staged selection.
Stage 1 (deadline 2/12): Deserted Isles residents new to DIBBL
Stage 2 (deadline 5/12): Deserted Isles residents already in DIBBL
Stage 3 (deadline 8/12): Offshore coaches able to commit to a general kick off time of 6pm to 10pm (NZ time)

Coaches are encouraged to incorporate their Dirty Star into the team name.
