Got off to a flying start to the new sprint with my
Punching Hags. 6/1/2, with no other Zon teams playing more than a couple of games in the first 2 or 3 weeks, I was feeling pretty confident about collecting that
Belt. Also, picked up a bunch of flags, and started playing Racial Bingo (see bio).
But then... 6/2/5, plus
Harad's women started playing again, so my belt dreams took a nose dive. One of my medium term goals is to close my overall win loss gap, and so what do I do.....?
That's right, nothing would help my Win/Loss record like playing with Box Gobs. Inspired by PeteW's
themed Delf Ranked team, and surprised nobody had taken on Roger Hargreave's animals, I made
Timbuctoo.
Goblins are hard work. I'd played them before (my first 40 odd games on fumbbl) so thought I knew what I was in for. But that was when I was a noob. With >450 games under my belt surely now I could drive these goblins.
0/1/9
2/10 coin toss wins
I was feeling a bit grim... so I designed my own Spirit Animal.
Caw survived to turn 16 of his debut game against Nurgle, then died.
Maybe after sacrificing my own Spirit Animal to Nuffle my fortunes would change for the better. Next up Dwarf, lost coin toss, 0-2.
I really wanted to give up on this team, but not before I got that win goddammit. And it finally came, against Underworld 1/2/10 (2/13 coin tosses)... time to chuck it in the scrap heap?
Nope, 3 more games to get the SprintARR badge, and also a FUBAR tournament to experience, made it to the 2nd round! (bye ftw).
Finished off the sprint with 3 losses. Not even halfway through January. Time to stop?
yeah, nARR!
Dec/Jan:
Punching Hags 7/4/5
Timbuctoo 1/2/13 (coin toss wins 2/16)
