A bittersweet weekend...
So, I've been sort of AWOL for a little bit of time. Life has really gone haywire over the past month. For anyone who is in the know, I've been working on a pretty big life changing event over the past few months with my fiance, and we finally finished everything. Over Labor Day weekend, the woman I've been tangled up with for the past 5 years, and I, got married. The entire weekend was fantastic, with a small gathering of close friends and family, and we couldn't have picked a better venue for a very memorable ceremony.
With every happy moment, though, there's a sad one. Our beloved dog, Cody, who has been with us for a very long time, passed away yesterday. He lived a very rough life before coming to be with us, but we did everything we could to make him feel as loved and cherished as we could. Thank you Cody, for watching over us, and taking care of us.

Really sorry to hear about Cody, it's a devastating feeling to lose a dog so my heart goes out to you. Congratulations on the good news though.

That is truely bittersweet. I am sorry to hear about Cody, but congratulations on your wedding.

If you take a rescue on and improve their life from what it was before, that is all you can do, and I'm sure he's very happy for that. You could have taught him how to use a can opener though......

We (my wife and I) lost our dog in February she gave us alot of joy for 12 1/2 years of our 23 years of married life.
I wish you and your wife the very best of luck and hope that time eases your pain at your loss. We still feel Poppy's presence in our lives.
