This is a bad couple of weeks for me, but I aim to be participating soon.
Is there any data available / are there any anecdotes around how close in TV teams that enter [B] Brawls end up being? I'm not crazy about playing large TV discrepancies in this sort of format if I can help it. I'm guessing 100 k top to bottom at kickoff, something like that? Narrower, wider?

The more applicants the narrower. With only one bracket, certainly wider than 100k.

It picks the lowest TV 8 teams from 16 or more entrants into a group, and a random team from the final 8-15 with everyone closest to them in TV.
So low-TV teams are basically always protected, by being dropped out together into a separate draw, or being outliers not selected, or being randomly picked and getting the other lowest TV teams anyway.
To face a very large TV spread, you'd need not much over 8 teams, and clusters of teams at high and low TV, with the highest or lowest still usually excluded. If you enter a middling TV team (1400-1600 or so), you naturally minimise any TV gap even in that case. In Blackbox Brawls, most of my games have been very close in TV, within 100k.
