Legend has it that Joe Green was raised by nordic wolves. In truth, Joe was raised by a pack of trolls who thought they were nordic wolves. A subtle difference among trollkind. Joe left his family at a young age and went to work as a Chef's assistant aboard a pirate ship. "Good times," Joe recalled with watery eyes, "it's a shame we run aground on a reef. Had to eat the crew to survive. But still, we was mates to the end. Well, not the very end." After his cooking career went up in smoke, Joe found his way to a small village whose name he still doesn't know. "People lived there," Joe noted, "so I decided it was a good place." Over the years, Joe has become somewhat of a senior statesman for the regional blood bowl league. A "farm system" for some of the pro teams, the Sticky Cake League (founded by renowned stunty chef Clem Hotwater, who, ironically enough, Joe actually boiled and ate as a stew) is one of the more colorful regional blood bowl associations. Plagued by financial troubles and what some have called a lack of talent, the Sticky Cake League has produced very few pro prospects (except for a few skaven throwers and one or two gutterrunners). "I got interested not long after I ate the stunty. He wasn't sitting well in my stomache and I needed to do somethink to work it out. Couple local orcs owed me some gold and a few gobos wanted to keep me from eating em...a decent starting squad." Joe's squad, typically called some variation of Gang Green (if they can remember how to spell it), has never enjoyed great success in tourney play. One year they made the championship game but Joe described that as "a case of mistaken identity." When asked to clarify, Joe just laughed and shrugged. "I can't recall a single game," Joe confessed, "but I did kill an elf once. Killed him all the way." Tom Barbley, a local bartender, confinded in us that Joe's teams are horribly managed. "He once fielded a team that consisted of resurrected zombies from his stomach. And for the last two years he's eaten all his players and then raided the league coffers dry. He's the single worst thing to ever happen to this league...or town." Joe promised that this year might be different. He told us the boyz were working on perfecting an Open Orc Offense, something that Joe has been talking about for years. "We're trying to shove a gobo into the ball," Joe said with a serious look on his face.
