I've just realized that this week is my FUMBBL anniversary. I joined in April of 2008. It's shocking, really, that for most of that time I hardly played at all. FUMBBL is pretty damned amazing.

Now I'm getting involved in leagues and tournaments, designing team logos, even participating in irc conversations. (Speaking of anniversaries, irc incidentally is where I courted my ex wife... back in spring of 1994).

The internet is the last refuge of the obscure. In some ways, blood bowl has been on life support since its release. Other than the tops of dimly lit kitchen tables and closet shelves of tragic nerddom, it is this site which has kept the game alive until today. And at moments, Grandma Wendy's ill-considered football legacy really does shine here.
