Hello sports fans!
DrPoods here with an update on the goings on at O[L]C headquarters as the
Grand Prix action is hotting up. Some big games have been played and we are looking forward to what promises to be a superfragilistic, hyperfantasistic superlative next few matches as we look to the business end of the tournaments!
First we look at
Grand Prix XII
We have an epic match coming up against the Ogres of
Bobo und seine Freunde and
Just you wait. The big money is coming in on the Ogres at present with Just you wait suffering a long injury list after some massively hard fought games. With 4 missing (including their CPOMB star
Colossal Boy the Chaos lads might struggle to contain the 9...Count'em NINE!! Ogres that they will be sure to face. As for the Ogres themselves, they look fit as a fiddle and raring for a fight. Will Bonehead run rampant? Will the Chaos boys be able to get over their lack of fitness? Oh boy! This commentator cannot wait for this one!
Grand Prix XI
Slow going here! Only two games were played in the opening round and I am sure that the last thing that [url=https://fumbbl.com/p/team?op=view&team_id=726766Assassinville Jag'Wires and
More human than you, man wanted to see was a raging Greenskin unit in
[CBBL Ground 'n' Pound] and
Snowy's Minders getting a bye into this round. Match of the day surely will be that of the Jag'Wires and the Minders as they look two well-developed machines that are just itching to tearify each other a new one! I for one will be looking out for
Flickle who looks one cantankerous bastard!
Grand Prix X
Not much I want to say here. But whoever faces
Nightz Watch better keep an eye out for
John Snow II. The AG5 blitzer looks a star of the future! Ably supported by his teammates as part of a well-balanced side, their future opponents will have a game on their hands! Especially with
Samwell Tarly looking to bring the hurt!
Grand Prix IX
Oh yeah baby! Khemri are always good for some O[L]C friendly carnage! This one looks to be a mismatch of sorts o paper with the Khemrians of
Reign Of Dust up against the Woodies of
FC Woodcelona. Making it especially tough for the Khemri are the multiple +AG players for Woodcelona, especially
Faml Silion who surely will be leaping around causing havoc. Without any tackle on the Khemri side, it could be a long day for them but with a few early CAS? Who know what may transpire.
Will the Woodies float like a butterfly and sting like a bee?
Or will
El_Dude be standing at the end demanding that the spectators "Look upon my works, ye mighty, and despair"?
Grand Prix VIII
Still waiting on what transpires in the match between
Scales Of Justice! and
Caibideal aimsireil ard-urram, we look at the other contender for O[L]C glorificativity!
Praise The Ref look to be developing into a prototypical Dwarven steamroller. Lots of guard and some pure, nasty pieces of work the Dwarves are looking to ease through into the next ronud of competition but will it be that easy?
In comparison, their future opponents look under done but as the old saying goes "Speed Kills" and in O[L]C land, anything can happen! A potential weakness for the Reffers is the lack of block or dodge on their Runners. Will it hurt them? Or will the wall of steel protect them from harm?
Grand Prix VII
Its all Human, all the time in Grand Prix VII as the
Bucaneros del Henares (145.2) take on the
Men of Kent. This may seem a cop out, but honestly... two fine coaches with their finely matched teams? Could go either way. However, with the complete lack of tackle, we could find that the blodging
Michel Laurent could be a difference maker. Also, it will be interesting to see how the Bucaneros go with their tandem throwers. Who will carry the team? Stay tuned for more!
Anyhoo, it has been fascinating watching the Grand Prix's develop over the last few weeks and as we move to the business end there should be more fireworks to come!
This has been DrPoods saying "Keep your gloves up, and come out snarling!"
AND DON'T FORGET! THE ELIMINATORS AND TITLE BOUTS ARE COMING UP! SEE MORE BELOW!!
(This jaded scribe cannot wait for these!!)
