And it's a broad category.....
Just realized that there are now many people who are un-aware of the accepted definition of cherry-picking, who may want to know it, if they are going to post and blog about it. It is as follows:
"Offering a match which you would not accept, were the team owners reversed."
Obviously, if you never offer, the corrolary applies to your acceptance of offers. This means:
-Refusing an offer does not make you a cherry-picker automatically, even if it's withint R TS limits, it might just make you obsessed with fairness.
-Accepting an offer from a team with much lower TS, or a very new/bad coach, does not make you a cherry-picker, you may be in a hurry to find a match, or having trouble finding anyone who will play you.
-Playing only "soft" teams to prep for a tourney is not cherry-picking. One assumes that those coaches would accept "Sorry, I'm getting ready for the FC" as an excuse from other coaches, therefor maintaining their integrity (whether or not you think it's in the spirit of the game).
-If a coach honestly thinks that it is not fair for his wood elves to play AV9 teams, it's not cherry-picking, IF they'd never offer to play elves with their own kller chaos or dwarves. Mind, you that IS weird, and probably does not really apply to many.
Anyway, just a notification that someone offering to play your 'zons with his dwarves, COULD just need an opponent.
