Maybe I'm crazy, but my last WO game, it really seemed like the teams were pretty evenly matched, and the coaches seemed to be to. The dice weren't even a huge factor (though the weather was), and I lost. One or two things different, and I could have pushed overtime.
Totally respectful, fun opponent in Wotfudboy, but I found this loss hard to take. I thought at first it was because I'd been so psyched about possibly getting more wins than I did in the FC, but after reflecting, it's simply because it was close.
As my wife is fond of saying when watching real-life football, "It's the hope that kills you". When I play any fumbbl game, lose or win, I look at why. Often loses can be pinpointed to a couple of early CAS the other guy got (sometimes because I over-expose good players), or some bone-headed play on my part. This time.... My plan to wear him down in the first half and crush him in the second wasn't a bad one. Didn't get the injuries I hoped for, but...... man.
Either I was out-played so brilliantly and subtely I missed it, or he thinks it was that close as well, and is as thrilled as I am disappointed. I hope it's the 2nd option, both for my own future hope, and his current happiness. Take the Group, Wotfudboy!!! :)
