For some reason I tend to be very unlucky in Fumbbl related issues. There are worse ways to spend your misfortunes. I tend to get girls that look better than me, I have had a quite fortunate upbringing and I live in a country which enables me an excellent social safety net. I'm also reasonably intelligent and have a good social life despite playing Blood Bowl. So I definately don't see myself as an unlucky person in general.
I'm also one of few people (that I have noticed) that seems happy with the RNG change. Although I don't see why it would make a difference I have experienced a rather significant reduction of bad luck. Almost immediately after the change I achieved the 5 match win streak award and I tend to get dice raped a lot less, even if they still happen more often than for most people.
It's easy to just percieve luck as bad though. I for example have a feeling that I always manage to age niggle my best players. But it's easy to just think it's like that, because a failed SPP roll on a good player probably makes more of a notable memory than when you succeed. So today when I had spare time at work I investigated myself. Since I have 30 active teams and not the best patience in the world I decided to make the survey based on +ST and/or +AG increases as a way of indicating the great possible players.
Here is the result of my +AG/ST players:
-------------------------------------------------------
No players have achieved a 4th skill. (although one came close when he died at SPP 50)
5 players have achieved a 3rd skill. 40 % failed the roll, with niggling injuries as a result.
19 players have achieved a 2nd skill. 27,7 % have failed the roll with niggles and one -AG as a result.
2 players have the +ST +AG combo. 50 % failed the 2nd skill roll with a niggle as a result.
1 player have +AG +AG. He failed his 2nd skill roll with a niggle as a result.
8 players achieved +ST or +AG on their first roll and have yet to get a second skill. I wonder which of them that will have their promising careers ruined...
