I've used orc teams in the past, but generally I can never stick with them long enough to get them really established.
Also, I'm a wood elf by nature so I always try and get my orcs passing and dodging rather than just tooled up with mighty blow and guard and I get fed up when they fail to live up to my AG6 expectations.
However, whenever I play Ranked games these days my agile teams get taken apart and so I thought I'd give orcs another go and not really worry if they keep losing, just so long as I can go a few games without dead players.
And that's just what has happened - a pathetic showing against a Vampire team with only one vampire and some super-duper thralls who made me look like a troll on horse tranquilizers (and not in a good way).
However, no one died, or was seriously injured, and I scraped a couple of skills out of the performance and strangely, I was happy afterwards.
This is a bit disturbing seeing as how the point is to win, but maybe as a bit of light relief from Faction and wood elves, I'll keep orcing along and see how I get on.
Also, the more I lose, the lower my CR drops, and strangely, this seems to make more people want to play against me.
I still hate orcs, but then I also hate Khemri, dwarf, chaos dwarf and chaos... in fact, anyone I can't beat without having my players die on a regular basis, but I feel happier about playing all those other teams now.
Next I'll really have to get over my dislike of fouling, but that's for another day...
