They don't range no more.
The Platinum Rangers are no more. Thanks to the Kunison Cowboys, they have played their last match. Maybe I overreacetd when I decided to retire them, but with one blitzer killed and three nigglers I just don't see any future for them.

However, the Rangers will not be the last Elf team I'll unleash to the world. And there were some lessons I learned while coaching them for an enormous amount of 13 games:

  1. Tackle is important, not just for bashy teams. Wardancers of three different Wood Elf teams stomping over my defense taught me that.
  2. Never ever try to outbash any team whatsoever with Elfs. Pretty much every team I played against taught me that.
  3. Adding on the 2nd point, block may not be the obligatory first normal skill on Elfs. There are many 1s on a d6 and they are bound to crop up when you least need them, so dodge might be worth a thought. The dice have taught me that.
  4. Do not waste too much time chewing the next skill to give to your players. Chances are that they'll get a niggling injury or die the very next game. This is of particular signficance if you missed out on the second point. I taught this to myself.

So, thanks again to everyone who helped me ignoring the fourth point. I'll try to implement your advice in the next Elf team.

EDIT:
@ Chewie: I do believe that it is fun. Just recently, the Rangers were lucky enough to beat up a Chaos team -- and it was fun. And I also believe that any coach better than me won't hesitate to disagree with the 2nd point. That's why I only listed the lessons I learned. Maybe the lesson in question should be: Learn how to beat up any team whatsoever with Elfs, dammit! Points 3 and 4, of course, will then have to be modified.

It's really fun to outbash teams with Pro Elves. You just have to know how to do it.
