The girls bite back
I'm still new to this blogging, so if this is a self indulgent "journal" entry, I apologise, but this did make me smile.
Recently noticed the only elven team I hadn't tried out was the good ole vanilla Pro Elves. Seeking an interesting naming convention and theme, I made them all the female relatives of my other three Elf teams.
While playing their first game, against a Rotters team, one of the poor gals was killed very early in the game. I didn't expect to get any real vengeance in the game, but when the Beast of Nurgle skull-bashed himself into the floor, I thought I'd throw a foul his way. Now I very rarely foul, I've never had a player with the DP skill, and I can't think I've ever managed more than a Stun when I have fouled. But Nuffle smiled upon me and my plucky little Elves managed a measure of vengeance - a Groin Sprain result on the Beast of Nurgle. Win!
I know this is no great "Oh My God" event, but I did love the mental picture of a Beast of Nurgle's groin (and this is an AV9, regenerating groin don't forget) being sprained by a tiny Elven woman called Giselle.
The sort of little things that keep me playing this fantastic game :)

I probably should have said "groinS" plural... Not that that information would have reduced the shudder factor - probably the opposite :D
