A game of firsts!
My latest Blood Bowl game prompted the following firsts:

1) First game on Fumbbl with Orcs.
2) First victory with a ranked team on Fumbbl!
3) First time an opponent has conceded during a game.
4) First time I've killed three players on the other team.

The first is significant given how amazing (and popular) Orcs are.

The second is significant because I was starting to get very depressed by my High Elf team...

The third because I didn't know there was the option to concede! When my opponent mentioned it, I thought he meant he was simply going to quit.

The fourth is a horror statistic I'm not proud of. All three kills happened in the first half of a game against Chaos Dwarves. I have no players with mighty blow, claws, fangs or anything else like that. In the first half THREE Hobgoblins were killed.

The guilt of causing a team to be retired before the second half is only sweetened by the juicy 6 CAS SPP points...

Guilt? lol

I don't like causing anything over a Badly Hurt on opposing players. Badly hurt is PERFECT. It takes the player out of the game completely, gives you SPP, but doesn't leave any mark on the player.

Also no one would use an Apoth on a badly hurt, so the result practically guarantees that the player will be out.

An SI which involves only a missed game is ok, a stat damage is bad, but a niggle is a real case of guilt.

Of course then there's death...

Learn to embrace the foul, it will free you of this guilt.

more seriously, you block the player dies, so what. sh1t does happen. at least, you didn't kill 3 CD blockers (or 'unfortunately', depends on the point of view;-) )

I prefer death over niggle, because then you don't have to think about it. And it prevents you from hanging on to a beloved player even though it's strategically bad for the team in the long run.

I like Badly Hurt or SI MNG only, for the reasons that TempestBlade mentioned. Unless it's a tournament or a league where the other coach might need that player to win a critical game, most people will not use an apothecary on a BH/SI(mng).

But given the choice between RIP and Niggle, I'll take RIP. No angst, no hard decision, and instant TR reduction :)

Sounds like euthanasia is the order of the day for most people - kill them quick and painlessly, don't let them suffer ;)
