Noob tactics #4 scoreing - part two - movement and reasons for turn 8 and 16 scoreing
Hello everyone (by the way thanks for the feedback on my poasts), this poast has some more basic info on scoreing. In this game you always want to score a touchdown all the time wright, wrong! some people that you may wach will be right beside the endzone and not score, now you may wonder "why aren't the scoreing," and here are some posible reasons: they know that if they score and go back to the pich the other team will score and it will be 1-1 instead of 1-0, they KOed many people on the other team and they want to give their oponent as few rolls for them to wake up as posible, they have guys on their team with weppons (every time a touch down is scored or the half ends there is a roll for the people with wepons, if they fail that roll they are ejected from the game), maybe they are bashing so many of your guys that they want to continue and atempt to clean the pich, and many other reasons. Well say that you wanted to score on turn 8 or 16, then I would have to say that a cage is almost a necicety to keep the ball carier safe.

Now on to the movment portion of this poast. movent and scoreing go together like ... well you get it, you can't score if you don't move. That said, you should plan ahead where and with whom you are going to score, the slower the team, the more you need to plan ahead. That means that If you have people on the ground that you tink you will be able to score with, don't just stand them up, move them!If you realy need that touch down they may be open for a long pass (though I definatly would not advise relieing on the long pass, it teands not to work). Also one of your prioritys on turn 7 and 15 are to get someone in scoreing position because if you don't do that then you do not have a chance of scoreing on turn 8 or 16 (and if you do get someone in position then you at least have a chance).

So remember plan ahead what you are going to do to score and if you are just going to score or if you are going to wait for turn 8 or 16.

Also: an important reason to "stall" until turn 8 with your touchdown is that you are less likely to lose the match. If you draw your offense half (8 turns), and your opponent stalls (and wins) his offense half (the other 8 turns), then he has won the match.

As I have said before and I will most likely have to say again: AS LONG AS I GOT MY POINT ACROSS I'M JUST FINE EVEN IF WORDS ARE SPELED INCORETLY (that is why texteese or text language came into existance).

While I think what you are doing is fine and probably a good idea for new people to read, I do think you should store all this information up in a word document then post it on the forum once you are done, because it is starting to take up all the room in the blogs section, where there are some important blogs being shunted off the list such as league recruitment ones etc. That aside keep it up :)

anyway, correct spelling won't harm anyone

is there any way to keep my posts off of that list. because I realy don't think my posts are realy all that great that they are on a list for the whole fumbbl comunity to see. However, I think it would perhaps be more efective to put these tips up as a periodic thing rather than all at once because people my then be more willing to read (thik about it if you are going to read something for help do you want to have to read multipule pages or about a paragraph every so often)(not to mention if they wanted to read all about the game at once they should read the rule book [I know i need to as well])

But if you realy think my poasts are becoming a nucince an clogging up the blog box then I guess I'll just kinda make an easier to read LRB translation that is especialy made for the game online (with out all of the explanations of "if you roll this, this happens" and "Then you must roll the somehting dice")

"texteese", as you put it, makes you look like a retard.

to clarify, I'm not saying that you ARE a retard, simply that the use of such language makes you LOOK like one.

someone had to say it.
Posted by X_Sniper on 2010-10-22 18:41:26
yes, I know "texteese" makes the writer look like a lazzy retard, that is why I never use it on this blog I think the only place for tex language is in a chat of some sort when you don't hae all the time in the world to type what you would like to say. So I atempt to use full sentaces in these posts and coments (and I don't care if I spelt something wrong here)

Thank you for the feedback

Something worth writing is worth writing correctly.

What Don Tomaso said.

Plus:
If you don't have the time all the time in the world to type, then learn to use all of your 10 fingers. With that you can get more than 200 letters a minute.

Agreed with DonTomaso. Also, the time spent spelling stuff properly saves people time trying to decipher what you're trying to say. Therefore making no effort to write properly shows how little value you put on the time of your readers. And as a result, if the reader does value his own time, he'll stop bothering after a sentence or two of horrible English.

Yes, if English is your native language there is no excuse for such atrocious spelling.

I wish you would pay more attention to spelling. Rated 2.

Thank you makCuz. It's nice to see some of the people who read and post coments are not just out to critisize people.

PS. All of my faingeres are used to type just I don't wast my time getting a typing course. I find my typing speed just fine.

I enjoyed your blog, in that I believe its great when people write up their opinions and experiences of bloodbowl - and try to assist new coaches. Sometimes its important to take it all back to a basic level.

I rated you only a 2 however because of the poor communication elements. At first I thought that poor spelling had to be deliberate and some kind of joke I didnt get, but reading these comments I realise it wasnt.

I really hope to read more blogs from you, just that you put them through spell check first. Please!
Posted by X_Sniper on 2010-10-25 21:42:21
Somebody PLEASE tell me how to put the entries through a spellcheck (i mean come on if you tell me to do something please tell me how to do it) I am going to start spellchecking my posts (if SOMEBODY TELLS ME HOW) because I guess poor spelling deteers some people from my poasts - just joking I know it's "posts" not "poasts" - and I would like for my blog entries to be read (and thus serve a purpose). Yes, I am doing this because of popular demand.
Posted by Chrome_ghoul on 2010-10-26 00:05:52
Google chrome has a spell checker built into it. It's pretty useful for things like this.
