I see getting pics on this site the same way as painting models for TT. You can play with the crappy plastic ones... but why would you?!
Now - this, of course, was my opinion before the advent of the new FFB player pics - which are awesome. But if you have a theme for your team, why not develop it a little more and have some custom pics?!? Makes it more fun, imo... and I'm pretty sure it safeguards you from the Admin Javabowl Dicehack "no less than 4 deaths for them" option. They don't do much vs. the Chinese Black Market Javabowl Dicehacks, but hey... fun to look at anyway ;)

I ALWAYS add pics to my teams. I value team fluff + appearance over anything else. I can only play with a team with a fun premise, although wether others find it fun it open to debate :)
I often get comments on how good my teams look, i'm very proud of that....

Fluff and pics on most of them. And that's mostly because it is fun, and that I'm not a very good player - I have to amuse myself somehow.

According to common Warhammer knowledge, the gods of dice favor the best painted army. This also work for Blood Bowl, and naming your players and getting portraits for them is the closest thing you can on FUMBBL.
Fluff is a big part of the game for alot of coaches.

Tbh I admire people who can find the time and effort to find good pictures, size them down to the ridiculous small size they need to be, upload them, wait for them to go 'green', add them to a player. Then the player dies the next day and you have to do it again. It takes way too much time. But then I'm not one of the people who play a 1000 matches in one year either. Besides, I think the pictures in the client work nicely, even the LRB4 ones. But hey, that's just me :)

pie
(only because no one else had)
OT: I sometimes get pictures for my team. Had a team full of PeteW clones once. That was fun. :D

I do. I spend more time on it depending on the team, but I always spend some effort on it.

every single player on every single team on all my teams, but only after I've played a few games, just to make sure i'm going to keep them.
Don't want to put the evert and then decide i don't want to keep the team
And only if I have the right pictures for the team.
I do have a few "Naked " teams still that I haven't found the right pictures forthem.
i don't think it gives a bonus, "like the well painted army" but its like playing with an all painted army, it just feels better

No pictures. I am that bad with computers, and usually I have a very precise idea of what I want and won't compromise. But I'm learning, so no pictures ... yet.
But fluff, I do, or at least a theme to the team. The ones with fluff are the ones I find the most enjoyable to play. Besides, team building and team history is a part of the game, and one I quite enjoy.
/me remembers he still have to put online many backgrounds for teams ...

For me it varies by team. Most of them have custom pics, and many have custom icons I use for them. Occasionally the them for a team won't lend itself too well to player pics, and I don't just throw random pics in just to make them custom.
Examples:
-Anime/Manga themed zon team has the obvious artwork for each player/character
-Dragon-themed lizards with coloring-book style customized base images tailored to each color/metal of dragon
-Ninja themed wood-elf team with semi-generic player portraits of chibi-ninjas, but also custom icons of wood elves dressed as ninjas (up to and including the tree) which I show in the team bio, and even made in blue, in case any opponent ever wanted to use them ;)
