Pretty interesting. Can you provide a brief rundown of the rule differences between your league and CRP?

Well it'd be easier to give you the rule differences between lrb 4. I run an inducement system based off of league position and ff, instead of handicaps. RSC is banned on all bar one team. Some of the CRP skills are used. I use a reserve roster. Serious Injuries are out for much longer, but replace 50% of perms. Khorne run with the original ofab, without thralls. Failed GFIs do not make armour rolls. Vamp bites are max BH. Money does not add to TR. There are a limitless amount of roster types. JourneyMan system is in place, they have big guy and pro, however using pro counts as a team rr (as best it can). JM do not add to TR. Probably a few more, but that's what I can remember off of the top of my head. Star Players stay for the rest of the season. It's a little too suited to elves, however killer teams like Champions of Death/Westside Werewolves/Slayer Keep are also doing well.

Gotcha. I'm in the camp of really liking CRP, so a lot of that would bum me out. I think the MNG becoming a longer period, but fewer perms is absolutely brilliant. In real sports, it's rare for somebody to get an injury that makes them suck forever. It's much more common that they're out for 4-6 weeks, or even a whole season, but they come back 100% healthy. Neat idea.

SI's are rolled on a d3. So either 1,2 or 3 games. SI perms roll a d6. On a roll of a 1-3 the perm injury sticks and the player misses 1 game or is retired to a coach. On a roll of a 4-6 the player is healed of the perm but misses d6 + 2 games (so 3-8 games).
The Bright Crusaders got murdered in their last 2 matches and lost 2nd place to the in form Paladins, and have a lot of their best players missing a large part of next season. The greatest team in my league's history will have to fight hard to survive. The Paladins themselves have one of their best Wardancers on the long term sick list. They will be in contention though with the Eagles, Cowboys, Death and Assassins who will be returning to the Premiership after a long absence. However unless somebody makes a dent on the Eagles stat boys, it looks like they may 3peat.

That's some dedication HM, 19 seasons !. I did a similar thing with BB 2nd ed, during school summer holidays in the early 90's. I got tired of having nobody to play against. After a rare occasion that i badgered somebody into a game, I was always left wanting to see some progression in the team and have a league table to look at . ( and not spend 2 hours trying and failing to explain the rules to my head scratching opponent ).
I had mini's for 5 teams. Human, Orc, Rats, Gobbo's, Elf, so the teams to make up 2 groups of 4 were Underworld and another Orc and a Human team using the plastic figures in the box.
I remember that the Gobbo's won the knockout cup after the regular season ended and a bit hazy but maybe Rats won overall. It was good to bend/create rules for the fluff as i wanted it.
I pretty sure everything is still together in the BB box in my mother's attic. Might be time to go and blow the dust off it and have a look back over those league tables and see how terrible my painting skills were.

Hats off to you, HMouse. Personally, probably because I'm a perennial bottom dweller myself, I like to hear stories of the 'not-so-great' teams. The likes of Oldheim Ogres, Greenfield Grasshuggers, Underworld Creepers, Lowdown Rats and, of course, the Hobgoblin Team. What's the lowlights from the other end of the tables?

eheheh great stuff. i used to have my own little league where i was the only coach of a bunch of australian rugby league teams where all the players were of course named after the current players.

Wow seems I'm not alone! CCSenor, I'm sure you'd get a lot of nostalgia by digging up your old stuff. Just looking at the old pictures in the rule books will give you a warm glow. Or running your hand along the astrogranite!!!
Selfy_74 Oldheim Ogres finished 7th of 10 in division 5. I think they're going to improve though. Grasshuggers are not represented at this time, even though they are a past runner up. Underworld Creepers have 2 of the best stars and I cannot replicate animosity, so are doing pretty well. They have been promoted to the top division, but I think they'll come straight back down again. Lowdown Rats are yes...........pretty bad. They got demoted from division 5 without putting up much of a fight. Worst team of the league right now is the Goblin Cheater team, demoted from division 4 without a point. Schmerztal Darkbones have been demoted every single season. Lowest ranked team right now is the Dwarf Rune Smith team, that relies on runes placed on their armour. Ranked 70th of 70.
Paradocks, Imagination and motivation are great tools for creation!

"Next season there will be 90 teams. I really enjoy playing like this, creating what I want and how I want. I do miss playing real people though, so from time to time I'll play on here."
Javabowl has an AI? Or do you play both teams?
Posted by harvestmouse on 2015-06-06 20:55:14
Both teams.
