I am Crassus!
You guys sure have your ideals. Stepping up for Russo when he broke the rules. He has always seemed like a good guy and now it seems like he screwed up. Well take the ban and do something fun. This site is so addictive!

We have been talking about the bans for a time now in the Swedish channel. And we are divided in the question. I as a teacher understands the Admins. We uses the same system at my school (and almost every school in Sweden). We don't allow our pupils chewing gum. Mainly because the majority doesn't throw it in the garbage cans. They stick it under tables, chairs or throw them towards the garbage can, goes a bit short. And leaves it there. We have had pupils with chewing gum on their clothes and so on.

What we did then was to set up a rule: You are not allowed to chew gum at school. And if you do we have consequences. Calling home, getting them to help us remove old chewing gums etc. But they know what happens if they break the rules.

For me the bans here are the same. People breaking the rules get the bans that comes with it. Even when good guys like McMagnus break them he should have the same treatment. Its like in my school when the nice, always good behaving kid asks if he could have a chewing gum. "-Sorry, you can't do that. The rules apply for everyone. If we let you do it, there will be others who would like to do the same. It is not you who are the problem here really but same rules for everyone."

I'am glad that the Admins have a tough line in here. We are a lot of coaches here most of us are here to have fun. Some coaches thinks that powergaming, having multiple accounts, breaking the rules to get an advantage is fun for them. But it destroys Fumbbl. No, off with the heads.

McMagnus asked in advance but didn't get an answer. So he went ahead. It's like knocking on a door, dont get an answer and steps in. You could get shot for trespassing in some countries. It's just to bad that he is such a nice guy. But again, we need the rules so that others cant use them.

A good statement someone made is that the admins should increase their numbers. I know of a bunch of good coaches outthere that could do it. Maybe we need two more admins. So we have someone online all the time to sort some shite out, starting Smacks etc.

I would like that we had a better communication going on around theese things. The admins feels abit untouchable and other coaches tries to get the village to storm the castle. I would like to see a forum thread where the admins can ventilate their views and where coaches can contribute with other things than claiming to be Russo.
