If you dont mind conversions, the GW Bloodreavers plastic kit can be a good idea :

There are some nice Marauder minis from Willy at Impact here:

They've also got some nice Big Guys:

But no team deal I'm afraid, so getting a complete team together would be quite costly...

The GW warhammer marauders are good basis. They come in parts and there are plenty so you can easily have some with two heads, extra arms or swap some out for claws.

Marauders, tho, looks more like Norsemen rather than av8 humans, tho... I'd convert some pikemen!

Here's my favourite I've found so far, but the price is an obvious put-off:

I've been converting GW models for a pact team. I just have bits and bobs, but they are turning out good.

What have you been using as a base? The latest Marauder models look quite nice.

I think it's fine if they look like Norsemen, that's their heritage after all. I've always thought the AV8 was a hack to make the team viable. I could be wrong, I'm not a big GW guy.

I used GW Marauders (clue is the title there!) but I tried to keep the more Norse looking heads for when I finally get round to making the Norse team... I NEED to find a Yhettee first...

Hm is 100 Euros for a full team of 16 such a bad price? The Willy teams are the same. But the RN offer is out of stock anyway.

I got in on these

These animals are a decent proxy: http://www.impactminiatures.com/index.php?option=elfballteams_profile&id=TC_SIRC

The meiko ones are quite nice. Not a big fan of the animals Dal tbh.
@Vermi: Maybe 100 euros is a decent price. I'm from the old-school thinking that a man-sized model shouldn't cost more than £1.50 though :P
I bought my bb teams when they were £12. They then became £20 then £25. I'd probably pay that now, but 100 euros is, what, £75+? Even just the 10 Marauders is £46!

you could get a bit of discount on the Rn estudio team using the_sage's code. but maybe not if they are sold out

Sann suggested Animal ones... I dislike them too :p (I referenced a Yhettee for my Norse though)

I use Gaspez minis. Great minis, and the Chaos Pact team is my favorite team from him :)

Sorry Dal and Sann, read the comments the wrong way around :)
The Gaspez ones are nice but a bit too mutanty for what I was looking for. I was after something a bit more ordinary human. I'm really being tempted by the standard Chaos Marauders box from the Slaves to Darkness AoS line. Dunno if it's any different to the WHFB one? Seen some nice things done with them, like this: https://bcantwell.wordpress.com/2009/06/15/more-blood-bowl-minis/

The Gaspez ones are even more expensive if you want all three big guys. The Meiko ones were also 99 EUR for 16 man squad. I bought my Darkies of GW shortly before they closed the range down. I think I paid 45 GBP for a pack of 11 and another 23 or so for the 5 man booster. Don't recall the exact number.
