Some of our faithful readers enjoyed your article abouth the SHC race so much they have asked for the situation in the KFC. What can you tell us about that, Günther?

Günther: "First off, two of the play-off places are already decided. Broekwater Patriots has been the most consistent team this season, and their round 13 win against another play-off spot holder, Kemperbad Knights, settled the West divisional title in a very convincing way. Griffins has been close most of the season, but their round 12 loss to the Knights was a blow to their chances. In the North division, Universe clinched the title in their round 12 victory over their closest rival Marienburg Foxes. Probably a satisfying revenge after the surprise move of the Foxes to Marienburg in mid-season!"

Günther: "There is still a race in the other two divisions, though. In the East division, Gunners hold the head-to-head tiebreaker advantage against the River Bandits, but the River Bandits are 2 Points ahead after their impressive round 13 win against the already qualified Drakenhof Legion. The Bandits still has Greenskins to play though, while the Gunners play Manticores and Thunder, the two weakest teams in that group. My feeling is that the River Bandits will do their job and beat the Greenskins, and thus pressure Gunners to the very end. I still favour Gunners 60-40 though, since they hold the tiebreaker advantage, but they will need to stay focused throughout the rest of the season to make it."

Günther: "In the South Division, there is still a three-way race, but the 49ers have 16 points to the Scimitars 14 and the Razorbacks 13. 49ers also seem to have more momentum, while the Scimitars have struggled lately. The program for 49ers and Razorbacks is tough though, as they both play Wreckers and Buccaneers, while Scimitars has an easier time on paper, as they are playing Avalanche and Eagles. I think all three teams will struggle hard and win at least one of their matches and draw the other one. Thus, my Money is on the 49ers for a 65-35, with Scimitars most likely to be the alternative."

Günther: "Wild card spots are somewhat easier to call here than in the SHC. With Gunners and 49ers taking the divisional titles, there are several contenders for the two wild card spots. River Bandits are in my view the closest team to a play-off spot. They have 18 Points already, and I think they will beat the Greenskins, so even if they loose the East divisional title to the Gunners (on head-to-head tiebreaker) they will have 20 Points and a Wild card spot. Even if the East race ends with River Bandits winning, the Gunners need only two more Points to be sure of the Wild card spot at 18 points. The other Wild card spot will likely go to the Griffins. They have 16 Points already, and need only two more points to be fairly sure of a Wild card spot. Meeting the ailing Sharks and the White Wolves, I think they will be able to gather at least three points, bringing their total to 19 Points. If the River Bandits or the Griffins (or the Gunners) slip, several teams have a chance. I have predicted 3 Points to the Scimitars (bringing them to 17) and 3 Points to the Razorbacks (bringing them to 16). In addition, the Foxes and the Unicorns can possibly get 17 Points if htey win both their remaining two matches. Most likely, though, the Griffins and the River Bandits have this in their hands. They would need to screw up for the others to have a chance, and even then they would probably need to win both their remaining matches."

Günther: "Finally, the most interesting matches to follow is the Sharks vs Griffins in round 15, and the River Bandits vs Greenskins in round 16. Both these games could be important to both the SHC and the KFC. Also, of course, the match ups between Wreckers/Buccaneers and 49ers/Razorbacks. You will need to watch Cabalvision closely to get the most out of this exciting season end. And then, of course, there is Pro Bowl...And play-offs... And Superbowl...And even NEXT season!"
