DLE - Carroburg - Inga presents... John Hughes
In this series, back-up quarterback Inga Dedekind presents each of the new players before season 3 at Carroburg Crimson Cascade. Because of Joe Adams short career, his presentation has been cancelled and will not be shown.

Who is John Hughes? Inga: Well, he's 26 and a Bretonnian by birth, and grew up at an apple farm. He was big even as a youth, so instead of climbing up into the trees to get at the ripe apples, I have been told that he would break the tree down, or rip it up from the Earth or something to get at the apples. Needless to say, his parents could not wait to put him in training camp...

What is he like as a person? Inga: Quiet and even a bit shy. He still haven't figured out how to sneer at the opponents, but unlike Friedrich, he CAN tie his own shoelaces, so Nicola doesn't have to help him all the time.

What was your first impression of him? Inga: I was a little late for training, and the Coach just tossed me the ball and yelled "Catch". I did, and then, before I knew it, I had this big oaf on top of me. I tell you, he may not look it, but he sure weighs at least a ton... or that's how it felt at the time. Good thing he's on our team :)

A fun fact about him? Inga: Believe it or not, he can recite all 512 verses of the Imperial Hymn. Especially those were they talk about shredding the enemy and tearing him apart... Actually, I suspect he has made some of them up, but I don't know all the verses myself so I couldn't say for sure!

How will Coach Vatn use him? Inga: Much the same as Friedrich. Stand around in the middle of the field to tie down 2-3 of the opponent players for as long as he can. He's better than Friedrich at Tackling, so he is harder to dodge away from, but his casualty rate is even poorer than Friedrich's, scoring only one single casualty in 98 Blocks in second season. Hopefully he's not as easy to confuse...

Greetings to Inga from Friedrich and to John from his former teammates. Friedrich's performance BTW has been spectacular in the first two games for the Bucs. He's still confused a lot but nevertheless caused 3 cas with 12 blocks.

I and Nicola (and the rest of the team, too) has been following his career with the Bucs and are sooo happy for him. Hope he will continue to develop :) Best regards, Inga.
