Günther: “I believe we need to do KFC as well, Hertha. It would only be proper!”

Hertha: “You are right as always. I can start with KFC North, since that seems easy. Foxes with 19 points and three more games to go means they have 5 points on Universe and 6 points on Unicorns and Cardinals. That MUST mean the divisional championship for the red and white.”

Günther: “I think so too. Both Foxes and Universe has Unicorns and Griffins left, and then Foxes plays Patriots and Universe plays Classics in week 14. Classics seems the better team this season and plays for the divisional championship in the West division, whereas Patriots have dealt more damage, but have less to play for. I would say 4 points to Foxes and 3 to Universe, meaning that Foxes take the division with 23 points, while Universe ends up with 17 points. ”

Hertha: “And Unicorns and Cardinals both have 13, and are thus out of the divisional championship if Foxes take one more point, which they surely will do. Both teams have tough opponents as well, with Unicorns meeting both Foxes and Universe in addition to Thunderbolts, while Cardinals meet Griffins, Patriots and then Classics. Does not seem like they should even be able to get 4 points to beat the Universe for second place.”

Günther: “Right. In the KFC East Sluggers are at 16 points and Bandits at 14. Both have played 14 games, and have two more matches. Incidentally, they both play Thunder and 49ers, who are both rebuilding after a tough season with many lost players. They should both be able to win them and so end up with 20 points for Sluggers and 18 points for Bandits. Both teams can surprise though, so they will need to keep their game up.”

Hertha: “Thunder are at 11 points right now and have Razorbacks before they meet Sluggers and Bandits. This does not like a lot of points, but if they do surprise against the Razorbacks, they can at least decide their own fate. Gunners have lost several key players this season, and after the loss vs the Sluggers in week 14 they are at 10 points with two games to go and are out of playoffs.”

Günther: “In KFC South it seems to be Scimitars and Eagles fighting for the division, with the Scimitars having the upper hand. One point ahead of Eagles at 16, and with one more game to play they should be able to control this. Particularly since Eagles seems unable to win a game, with 5 draws since midseason.”

Hertha: “Yes, and the Scimitars have 49ers in week 14 and Gunners in week 15, two teams that have both suffered severe losses this season and are at the bottom of the KFCW vs KFCS tournament after midseason. Eagles have Razorbacks in week 15, a team who have improved lately with a victory in week 11 vs 49ers, and two impressive draws against the Sluggers and the Scimitars. And then the two teams meet in week 16.”

Günther: “Razorbacks and 49ers are both at 11 with three more games, and should not be able to interfere with the other two, and should look for building competence and experience for next season.”

Hertha: “And then in KFC West Classics practically clinched the division with their 2-1 win over Patriots in week 13. With 19 points they are six points ahead of the Griffins with three more matches. They need only one point, and I think they will get much more than that.”

Günther: “True. They do have Universe in week 14, and then Thunderbolts and Cardinals. They should be able to get at least 4 points from that, even though the opponents are certainly no pushovers and Cardinals and particularly Universe are playing for a Wild Card. Griffins at 13 points have an even tougher schedule, taking on Cardinals, Foxes and Universe. They could end up around 16 points.”

Hertha: “So Foxes, Sluggers, Scimitars and Classics as the divisional champions, then!”

Günther: “Yes. And with two of the three wild cards going to Bandits and Eagles, while Universe and Griffins fight for the last one, possibly also the Cardinals.”

Hertha: “So now we need to see what really happens. Some key matches here is Classics vs Universe and Griffins vs Cardinals in week 14 and Eagles vs Scimitars and Griffins vs Universe in week 16. Buy your tickets early, as they will surely go fast!”
