Biggest and Best: The Krox
The Kroxigor is the best Big Guy going around. Don't listen to those nurgle coaches who claim that their Beast is better. The beauty in the Krox lies in its awesome move, prehensile-tail, and the fact he is boneheaded. (better than really stupid, 1,000,000 times better than wild animals)

But this post is talking about skilling them.

Normal Skills
1st. Guard
2nd Break Tackle
3rd Multiple Block
4th Piling on

I do not change this order no matter what other skills I get.

If you have a new team, and can afford it, fire him after he get his second skill without a double. If your team is over tr150, or you are strapped for cash, wait until he gets his 3rd. But if he gets his 3rd skill, and no double, as long as you have 11 players, fire him.

Stat Increases
+MV - On a double 5 treat it like a double. Take it on a 6,4 if you already have guard and break tackle.

+AG - Ignore if you don't have Guard or Break Tackle. I ignore them anyway - having Bonehead makes them too unreliable to do anything with the ball.

+ST - Tough one! St 5 is already quite high. I would take Block. I maybe in a minority here... But if you already have block.... I would take the +ST. Although the second skills make your krox damn useful.

Doubles
Well, take BLOCK if you are lucky enough to get doubles. As for a second doubles, this is a highly debated issue! There are three main options: dodge, tackle, pro.

DODGE: Having a S5 blodger is crazy. Barely any big guys will have tackle, and probably not too many on the LoS. It makes them that much harder to get down. Considering you were lucky enough to get a Big Guy with Block, keeping him alive is important, and Dodge helps that.

TACKLE: In the Lizardman guide it recommends tackle. This is an all out offensive skill - it allows your Krox to smash little guys much better. It is also a great synergy skill with Prehensile Tail. It stops people from running away.

PRO: Pro is a great big guy skill. They have the annoying trait Big Guy which means they can't use rerolls if they stuff up. Plus Bonehead, which renders them useless 1/6 of the time. You can also try to reroll those blocks where you can't quite get them down.

OTHER OPTIONS: STAND FIRM is nice because you can dodge around with Break Tackle without worrying about causing a turnover - it allows you to place that tail where you like. edit: as Laviak points out, it also means your krox can't be pushed away, so his guard assist and st5 is extra handy in cages.. SIDE STEP is also useful for placing that tail where your opponent doesn't want it, and avoiding fouling you get with Stand Firm. DIVING TACKLE means you are giving those opponents a massive -3 to dodge away.

So what to do? Pro is the standard and the safest option. Boneheadedness robs you of your number 1 asset, if you can cut this by nearly 50% it is worth it. Dodge is also great - keeping a block kroxigor alive is super important. Decide if you'd prefer to win games to build... you will be very well served with pro or dodge so it is really up to you. Tackle is a overrated - a lot of people think it is best, but you should have sauraii around with tackle anyway, which makes it a less desirable enough that I recommend passing on it.

But really, it's all icing on the cake. When I asked fellow australian-long-time-lizardman-coach faulcon what he would pick on second doubles he replied:

"Who cares? I'd still be rejoicing for having a block Kroxigor"
