A sad day has come for the
Relentless Revenge, as the only legend to ever play for the team,
Julio has succumbed to death on the
pitch. Julio found himself on the ground in the early stages of the game, where he would meet the boot of a rat, ending his life. The apothecary rushed on the field to save the team's star, but (as always) he was unable to rescue him from death. The ref clearly favored the rats, as no one was banned for this flagrant foul, though two humans would later be banned for far less egregious fouls, and the Revenge would lose the match 2-1.
With the death of Julio, catcher
Allen takes over as team captain. He inherits the position in one of the most precarious places the Revenge have ever been in. With basically no players developed and only 30k in the treasury, the lowest total in years, the team cannot afford to make many mistakes.
As for Julio himself, perhaps it is best that he met honorable death on the field before the rules were changed to ban the piling on of downed players that he had built his career on.
