Extra excitement was had today at the
Mary’s Land Terrible Terrapins practice. The team from UMBC’s prestigious neighbor has taken to using the driest of UMBC’s fields for some of their practices. Recently, some underclass skinks have taken to fetching balls that slip into the swamp.
Today, these skinks banded together and demanded a friendly match with the Mary’s Land players. Before any university staff was made aware of this development, the match was already well underway. The team, calling themselves the “All Skinks”, quickly found themselves outmatched as the Mary’s Land Sauri took the field. By halfway to half time, less than half of the “All Skinks” were able to take the field, and in the second half Mary’s land scored an additional 4 touchdowns unopposed, winning the scrimmage 7-0.
Despite the crushing defeat, blood bowl fever has swept the campus, with some students beginning a petition to start their own blood bowl team
