Gobs, Snots, Stars and some moaning
I was not among those who wrung their hands while declaring that Something-Must-Be-Done about the scourge of Bomma who was apparently destroying BloodBowl. But then I'm probably biased as I nearly only ever play stunties anyway. I'll admit that his appearing in what felt like nearly every other game, sometimes for both teams in recent months was getting a little out of hand.

However the prospect of Dwarfs overdogging Cindy vs Gobbos who aren't allowed Bomma, or Morg either for that matter strikes me as a touch unkind.

As I see it, the problem with Bomma was his availability for a host of teams who really shouldn't need him anyway and the fact that his sheer cheapness meant that one was almost obliged to take him. Particularly if there was a chance that their opponent would as well.

Bomma is not OP when playing for Goblins, rather he gives them a (dicey) chance vs more competitive teams, which quite frankly is nearly everyone. I'd make the case that he's not OP when playing for Snotlings either, at least not when they field 1 or more wagons as they ought to.

That brings me to my next point which is the prevalence of no-wagon Snotling teams marauding around causing havoc (you know who you are!).

I'd argue that a very large reason for snots now officially being a box trophy tier2 team is this very phenomenon. I'll admit that seeing a snobbish T1 coach get dismembered by stunties is of course great fun and highly amusing but no-wagon Snots are really just a vehicle for making Morg+Hakflem/Bomma look good and really isn't at all how where intended to be played.

Then of course it's a free country and you can play anything anyway you damn well choose.

Just doesn't seem like cricket is all.

While I'm on the subject of stunties, I've heard many coaches, on podcasts, IRL and online complaining bitterly about broken fouling and OP Ooligans ruining their fun. Apparently, Dirty Player+Sneaky Git+cheap bribes are "broken", "unfair" and Something-Must-Be-Done.

Well, I'm really sorry but Goblins foul. Its what they do. It's kind of the only thing they're good at. Goblin coaches might think it unfair that you've access to ST3, General skills and players who actually do what they're supposed to and don't explode when they get hit. They might think it unfair that you have access to all of this and still choose to over-dog them whilst banning all their best stars but you won't hear them complaining. Well, except for me of course.

And wrecking their fun by having a tournament ruleset that makes it impossible to successfully coach a Goblin team is BS. Yes, I am looking at you Alicante.

If you want to stop Dwarfs bringing a sg Deathroller there's got to be a better way of doing it than that.

I am a fellow stunty player and I disagree with you. Sorry. Problem with bomber stars is they completely warp the meta. Gobos and flings have other tools anyway so it's no biggie. Sadly cindy is still available. but I hope she is gone soon too.

I haven't been following what's been going on.
Are Goblins losing access to Dribblesnot, but Dwarves will keep their access to Cindy Piewhistle? Dwarves are already so bad for the game...

Yes

Fumbbl is banning GW's list of 'megastars' in [C] which includes Dribblesnot but not Cindy

And - goblins are very weak in [C]
Snots are weak as well unless they're in Rumbles or tournaments. They suck without heaps of inducements

Maybe play Halflings for a bit, they can hire Cindy no? You might find a team that makes Goblins look great even without Dribblsnot XD
But I don't agree with this narrow-tier push for teams, guess I'm old school BB and I think they should be hard to play. Creates a challenge for some coaches better than I to play them and win

Dwarfs aren't bad for the game, they are heroes! for taking on Amazons...everyone knows this :)

"If you want to stop Dwarfs bringing a sg Deathroller there's got to be a better way of doing it than that."

As a tournament organiser I have a lot of sympathy with what they were trying to do. I mean, it's not like there was any way to say the only teams that could take bribes *and* sneaky git were Stunties.

Sorry, my tongue seems to have got stuck in my cheek and I can't get it back out again.
