Smurfs first title?!
Following my previous blog, I had to share that sometimes even odd teams get lucky.
This time its my Smurf UW team that managed to bag a Box LW title! \o/
Not a surprise for many Im sure, UW can be real nasty at low TV.
Often though you have to be prepared to laugh at them when they all end up in the smaller boxes!
But thats fun too so its a win -win team! :D
So here's to trying odd teams!
PS I celebrated with getting my first ever clawpomb, which would be lame if not on a smurf! ;) DS

Your team has half the benefits of low TV amazons + the all the benefits of minmax clawpomb. All you need is a dp goblin and it's perfectly horrible.

Well appart from the zon part having a blanket -st and stunty and your blitzers lacking dodge thats not a bad description hehe.
My 1st UW team struggled as they repeatedly lost their blitzers.
I actually had second thoughts about PO as they require protection being your opponents main targets here. I try to use then as avluable hit and run guys.
Then again you dont have to use PO every time even though some guys claim so ;)

UW ought to suffer from less guard access too esp. if the blitzers go all out killer style?

I prefer Horns to PO on UW blitzers early..it somewhat mitigates the low ST and means you can play them in a hit and run style.

That's my team...it's one of those teams that when they are on fire is devastating, but when they are doing badly, it's *really* badly. Fun though :D.

I just played them and man... they are tough. The Claws at 1400 TV can make short work of an 11 man human squad. And Piling-On ensures it. 11 on 6 for the second half was a tough thing to swallow. I want an underworl team of my own soon. Here's to thrown goblins and trolls with claw. (That yours kept trying to use to crack open your gobos)
