Before i chime in: Do you have a complete team of models including the Tree?

Full set. 16 minis, everything I could need. Throw it at me!

Nm on the tree model, you won't be taking it with 1mil. I must have misread something.
2 WDs
1 Catcher
8 Linos
2RRs (Damn you no leader!)
1FF (Try and Get FAMES) or AC/CL
We know this is gonna be your roster. You may have gone thrower instead of Catcher if Leader was allowed. Now to pick skills.
Looking at 6 normals and 1 double. Could either go Guard somewhere or MB on a dancer. I'm inclined to say MB because blitzing with it every turn is so good. And at tourneys you encounter lots of Elves and low av teams.
WD #1-MB, Tackle
WD#2- Strip Ball, Wrastle
Catcher- Sure Hands (mainly for defensive retrieval)
Lino- Kick
For the 6th normal I would either put dodge on a Lino or Block on the catcher.
Have fun brotha, wish I was goin.

+1 to the above. I hope someone takes chaos with 4x claw mb :p no way would it win, but it. Could cause a lot of damage.

@Garion- Or CDs with 2 mb/po and 1 Cmb.
Wood throwers should really cost 80K. Pass is only supposed to be 10K and it would actually give you some wiggle room when making a starting wood team.
And a note about my proposed build- Even thogh the Catcher has the Sure Hands that doesnt nessasarily mean that he should be used to recieve Kick-Offs, it may be better for him to be up field to recieve a handoff/pass.

2 WDs
1 Thrower
8 Linos
2RRs
1FF
Thrower - Leader/Dodge - 40k
Lineman - Kick - 20k
Wardancer - Tackle/Mighty Blow - 50k
Wardancer - Strip Ball/Wrestle - 40k
I might go with this one, as opposed to Huff's, the Leader thrower I think is possibly more useful than the Block Catcher. Tough one though.

Poke, not allowed Leader, poke. ;)
I think I'd try to squeeze me a Guard in there somewhere. MB Wardancers are fun (and this ruleset screams cheesy Amazons, so MB / Tackle is nice), but I tend to get a lot of use out of Guard at such events with the Wooden types.
Not having three RRs is a pain in the bum. Especially with your reduced level of Dodge. Good luck, enjoy yourself!

I wonder why Leader isn't allowed, actually? Seems a funny rule. No doubt there is a good reason.

It's not allowed because every team build would drop a reroll and take Leader. Even if it meant burning 30k for a double. That's still cheaper than 50+K for an extra reroll.
Now whether that is a good rule or not is up for debate, but I've heard this discussed on a number of podcasts and that is the justification at tournaments. Some organizers feel it is 'min-maxing'.

How odd. Must be an NA thing, never seen such a thing in Europe. Each to their own! Seems a bit alien and helpful to our TV 100 powerhouse friends to me...
Still should be bags of fun!

@Hito- Yeah, no Leader allowed or I would also have suggested a thrower with the skill.
@PG- I definitely wouldn't fault anyone with Guard over MB. Just a MB Tackler sounds so appealing.

And last year was even more crazy, where you could take leader. It was 1M and you had to buy skills for that money also - with no stats and no more than 2 of each skill. I had Zon's with 9 skills (GuardX2, Sure hands, frenzy, leader, BlockX2 and WrestleX2). That was silly :D
This year it is going to be boring boring dwarfs :)

Thank you all very much for your input. It is greatly appreciated. I am very excited for the CC weekend.

When you have a building scheme like that, there is no point getting Star Players. Its a bit of a shame really. Im contemplating making this event also.
