2 trees yes, chef yes, and if allowed take +ag on a fling. The other (and much better) fling coaches will add plenty more advice i'm sure. Garion, Kam, Khor Varik and Zed are all solid fling players.

I think i d go 10 flings/2trees/chef/deeproot/1 rr.
Skills :
Ag on a fling, mv and piling on on one tree, block and multiple block on the other and a dirty player fling.

skills I would go +ag (40) fling, block (30) tree, +mv block (60) tree .
dp, block, guard choice for the flings for game 1 and 3.
Maybe take mv+bt on the tree instead of block, but then get bt and guard on the other.

Iv used a Halfing Roster at the Spike Open. Taking Deep Root is a MUST. I also would put Block on your Trees. 3 Blocking Trees, is a huge problem for most coaches. Here is why, because most coaches focus on knocking down the Trees. This is a good thing. The more they hit your trees, the more they don't hit your Flings. With 2 Trees, you have to always put a Fling on the Line. Its an Automatic -1 players for your defence. Even if the Trees take Root, which DeepRoot doesn't have, they become Huge road blocks. Anyways have fun.
I took a Big Bertha, Deeproot, 2 Trees, and 7 Flings to the Spike (110 TV,) and I had a blast!

MA6 AG4 Fling = 70 TV
-> TTM material NEED +MA. With MA5, you only have 60% chances to throw the fling far enough for a OTTD from the los. Trust me, you need it. And remember, that's something I never do, but that may be clever if you want to win: that Fling does not have to be on the pitch every drive...
Block + Break Tackle Tree = 50 TV
And don't fear GFI or blitzes in cages. The "one of each stat" rule is for the whole roster, right? If not, add +MA to the package. ;)
With the 50 TV left, I'd probably take Dodge on your Block tree, or Tackle (Dodge, most likely), and Sure Feet on the MA6 AG4 fling. That would be putting all your eggs in the same basket, but with some experience, that's definitely doable.
Other options include a DP (not a big fan in that case: too much TV at that level, and those guys don't stay long on the pitch), Block on the other tree or on a fling (more versatility), or even PO and JU on a tree...

thanks all for the info! im going to play with the excel roster sheets over the weekend and see what i can make work.
+MA +AG sounds great but i know AV6 is just asking for him to get killed early every match.
might need a few more practice matches...lol
