I know a good 2nd hand internet site if you are interested. However their best ones at the moment are vista.

Your budget is the important thing here.

FUMBBL isn't very demanding at all I don't think.
Other games though may need something better.

any links would be great :)

FUMBBL is easy on the hardware, so most things will run it. Something like this would be adequate: http://www.ebuyer.com/352884-hp-pavilion-g6-1303sa-laptop-b1r11ea-abu
If you can stretch to £500 then you can get a much better GPU, making things like SC2 more enjoyable:

Or for £450:

There are plenty of sites to find laptops on, but one place I use to compare performances with certain hardware specs (GPUs in particular) is this one: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Computer-Games-on-Laptop-Graphic-Cards.13849.0.html
For CPUs there's this for info and a good few comparisons:

Well I'm a bit concerned by their claim that it has 320Gb of RAM, and I inherently distrust PC World. They are usually overpriced, and if they are saying that they normally sell that for £500 then they are massively so. I found another 5 places which sell it for ~£270 with a quick search.
That aside, the GPU is a little underpowered for SC2. The benchmarking site says 37FPS on low settings. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 chipset is actually better.

Yea i have noticed this every laptop i find on their site seems to be very expensive and cut down to what other sites are offering. im just not sure where to go as i would like to see it before i buy it.
harddrive wise should i go for 350GB or 500GB would i need the extra 150GB? or should i go with 350 and if i need more space buy an extra hard drive?
Posted by dode74 on 2012-07-09 21:45:08
Well I've always got my computer equipment from ebuyer and have never had an issue with them. I'm not sure what you'll gain by seeing the laptop first (unless it's something like screen size, so an equivalent would be good enough).
HDD depends on how many games and other programs you have on the system. You can probably get a good idea by seeing how big the "Program Files" file is on your current setup.
Videos/music etc can go on an external drive if you need them to, but games is not so easy. You can often get larger HDDs for laptops and a local PC repair place can install it for you, but that's usually more expensive than just buying the large HDD in the first place.

This is the best I can find sub-£400:

It'll certainly meet your requirements.
