The Rats received and scored fairly quickly, as would be expected, then handed the ball over to the dwarves to march up the field.
A tense half saw Pikachu Niggled and the apothecary, having forgot his medics bag left the stadium in shame. The rats tried what they could, but with a couple of GFI's the dwarves scored at the end of the first half 1-1.
The second half was a different story, with Nuffle favouring the Rats. After a perfect defence and some early positioning by the dwarves, a gutter runner dodged through several zones and managed to down the ball carrier and having secured the ball, kept hold of it as the dwarven defence failed to stop him.
The next kick off Nuffle sided with the rats again and a failed pickup by the dwarves saw a gutter runner dive in collect the ball and make towards the end zone.
All this time the Dwarves were taking their revenge on the Rats up field, and at the end of the game the blood count would show 3 niggled Rats ... they may have won the game, but not without a heavy cost.
All in all, a fun game against a nice opponent though.”
