Ahoy there! It’s time to set sail again for episode six of the Dökkálfar Dreki Fanzone; this time we are going to focus on a player on the brink of greatness.
While we wait for all the exciting permutations of the Clay division to be played out, lets talk about one player who has truly made a difference this season from taking the Dreki from also-rans to division contenders.
No, not Himminglaeva. No, not captain Mimir. We are talking about a player who normally keeps quite a low profile but is often crucial to the crew’s scoring plays - Frøya.
This Autumn, Frøya has scored 5 touchdowns and taken 3 casualties in performances that are starting to catch the eye.
In the last game, against the Mountains of Mourn Tyrants she scored an easy TD and hit hard in the 2nd half to take 2 casualties and put the ferocious Ogre Kingdom team under pressure.
We interviewed Frøya for this Fanzone and asked what inspires her performances:
"When I am on the pitch I think of Aeghir...I think of what he could have done if he had not been murdered...and it inspires me to try harder."
(Aeghir is of course Frøya's ex husband, murdered on the pitch in this
game.)
"I do not forget. Jérôme Jenfyre will pay."
And with that chilling threat, we leave Frøya to prepare for her next match.
hanks for tuning in, see you next time!
