Pain is part of the game, and the sooner new coaches get used to it, and how to manage it, the better. This will likely only breed pixel huggers, and whine flu would run rampant once they joined the big leagues.
Have to lean that most of your team can die, but so long as you still have 3 elves left, winning can always be a few rolls away.

The fact that you make this "100% serious" suggestion makes me credit your other suggestions even less, if possible. If you are really serious about this suggestion then you are proving beyond any doubt that you do not read (or cannot understand?) the problems other people have with the rules. Calling anyone who disagrees with you a pixelhugger does not make it a fact, no matter how loudly or often or "subtly" you do it.

Sure, there are players who try to hug pixels at the expense of winning. There are also player who try to destroy players at the expense of winning. There are yet OTHER players who try to score with treemen at the expense of winning. And yet other players who will use the apo on a KO and sacrifice their stars to win (surfbait anyone?) if the situation calls for it.

Would you take a few minutes to see if there might be *any* possible flaw with your 100% serious suggestion? Are you really not able to see any? REALLY Jimmy? Either that or you have lured me in with 100% troll. In that case - my hat is off to you, good sir.

No it was a serious suggestion(just with a jokey title and intro).
The only problem with box is putting off newbies.
That is the problem with fumbbl in general really, no academy and a very high standard of play couled with a steep learning curve.
Outside of koadah and his 145 club there is nothing for new coaches.

The real problem is coaches that play BB but can't handle what this game was created for....carnage! The pixel hugging do gooder brigade won't be happy until they have ensured that their pixels are immortal......it's tragic that BB is being slowly killed by this pixel hugging madness.

I greatest part about Christer's proposed changes is that if most of the coaches hating on them left the box things would instantly get way more varied and interesting when it comes to teams and builds represented.

Like i've said all the time, killstack is not the problem, players die and games are won or lost.

The problem is the coaches. BB is a "social" game and there are far too many people here who have forgotten that simple fact. Some of my most enjoyable games have been against brasky, calcium and carlo. Why? Because of the banter we had during the game. Yes my teams invariably got mangled beyond recognition but we laughed and joked about it. You know, like you would in TT.

But you always get the other extreme of the spectrum and there are some coaches here who don't even have the courtesy of saying Hi, GL or even grats. These are the people giving Box the reputation it has as there are no repercussions for their tool like attitude because once you're drawn you have to play the game.

Hmmm... Jimmy, Why not change the BlackBox like Christer purposed and create a new divison for the Pixelkillas. Call it "Darkroom"!

Maybe I'm wrong, but i belive the most people will stay with Blackbox instead movin to th Darkroom.
