CIBBL Pre-Game (and Post/Game) 4 Spitepeak Sabotage - Swan Riders
Greetings sports fans,

(A pregame and a postgame together this time, real life intervened with the broadcasting).
A huge week passed in Eichenschatten with huge festivities across all Moot. The Swan Riders managed to take their first win against the Blood Mountain Minos in one of the shortest games in the CIBBL history. Yes, one team got annihilated from the pitch and this team was not the Halfling Team. Impressive display of Drychaen with 4 Cas and the team is very proud to have both Treemen with the Triple X achievement. Caden Uncharia took the achievement during the game vs Potala-loka Guardians. The team and the coach celebrated during the post-game party eating the famous “living Hef“ bull steak (you do not know what is this? Check the previous post: https://fumbbl.com/p/blog&c=Kharigor&id=23576 ). It was delicious! But the difficult part is now in front of us. For our next game we will be on the road direction Spitepeak. Our sponsor Bugman's XXXXX has provided us with a dwarven airship which we will use for our long trips outside of the Moot!

Spitepeak Sabotage is an impressive Snotling Team, who may also win our division (https://fumbbl.com/p/team?id=1017325 ). They won all their games so far without conceding any Tds! Honestly we do not have any big expectation for our first stunty vs stunty game in CIBBL than to survive. In the history of CIBBL there was another one game of Halfling vs Snotling: the Gipfel Blueleaves played the Deadly Sinus Attack (https://fumbbl.com/p/match?id=4043034 ) during the Winter Friendlies of Year 5. But both rosters were the outdated ones. The Halfing had the “amateur“ version without Hefties and Catchers and the Snotlings were fielding the 6 Troll build and no other positionals (which I think it is still in CIBBL playable as the Troll teams). For the lovers of the statistics, the Halflings despite the help of Puggy Baconbreath lost 2-0. The game itself was not very good tactical, with many mistakes. A small notice: Gipfel Blueleaves lost all the friendlies during this winter with the same score 2-0 (3 games total).

As it was expected, we did not have any chance against the Spitepeak Sabotage (https://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=4285079 ). Our MV 3 Block Tree died during the first turns of the game. Even the Apo did not manage to save him. A wizard commentator named Samba said during the broadcasting that was 0,5% probably to happen... That was a serious blow in the team and it had huge impact also on the psychology. After the game the team announced that we will have a new Treeman ready to debut in Moot.
Despite this extremely painful loss we tried to remain and fight for something in the game, but the luck was not at all with us. Second half was a bit better and the fans felt that we may manage a miracle. We lost 1-0, but something that puzzled our coach was how the Halflings managed to throw 52 blocks, when his other team in SLICC with 6 Frenzy Minos they usually doing around 35 blocks only. Kharigor is contemplating a ritual to exorcise the bad luck away from his teams. What we are keeping from this game is the second in the row amazing performance of Drychaen, the Treeman with 5 Cas and 10 SPP. He carried alone the team during this disastrous game.

… that Halfling players and chefs are much appreciated and well regarded in the Mountain of Mourn Leagues? Halfling players enjoy the rare instance to treat them like stars of the football in the far away exotic land following the example of Crumbleberry teaming with ogres “throwers“ and „kickers“, though it must be noted that it is a very dangerous path for a career. Next to every Captain Coliander are piles of bodies of wannabe projectile stars, who were not so lucky. Despite that a lot of Ogre professional teams invest their budget to persuade and bring a Halfling player to enrich their roster. It helps also that there is the tradition for these teams to keep an injured Halfling in the payroll employing him as the team Chef, ensuring that never a Halfling will got desperate and stranded, so long he survives the brutal game. The Halflings players must co-operating there also with a lot of Snotlings, Gnoblars and other species that are part of the rosters in Mountain of Mourn.
