Running a
human team in the 1600-1750 TV range in the Box, I know it was going to happen sooner or later, but it happened in the unexpected way...
My men did not fall chased by a full clawpomb madness, or under the hits of a minmaxed chaos dwarf/pact. And it wasn't the odd Ogre team or some Khemri full of dirty players.
It was a plain
Orc team without a single piling on player!
With his second blitz, my opponent killed (apo'ed to mng)
Warrior, super star all-around blitzer. A few blocks later,
Raider, the killer blitzer, was lying dead on the pitch. In a last, desperate, attempt to draw the match,
Stranger, an AG4 blodge leaping blitzer, died on his last failed leap.
I felt it was time to hit the reset button, and use the hoarded cash to rebuild almost from scratch. It was a fun ride, my only complain is that I will not be able to improve my Premiership record. I was so
close to the first place.... Let's hope to be able to rebuild for the next season.
Disclaimer: the blog post is not for whining, but because it's an event in the team history that deserve one. To keep it in the right perspective, it's time to quote paulhicks:
...you know, if the worst thing that happens to you is you roll a bunch of 1s and your computer pixels die, then you should consider it a damn good day.
