We have been quite busy in the last three years in Vault BB, setting up a team to fight against mutants and then taking the field against them. There have been ups and downs, but we are glad to announce that we finally reached the 500 games mark, the second human team in the Box to do so!
I was a coach without a meaning in my first year on FUMBBL, constantly changing team, division, focus, until I discovered Vault BB and I embarked in the
Vault Tec Squad project. Since then, I know what I want to play. :)
I really enjoyed the ride and I would like to thanks all the people that helped in the fun:
the HLP creator - koadah created a metagroup where the team concept found context
the HLP slobber-knockers - sharing the experience with Aflo, anisdrin, Dunenzed, nufflehates, PacoSillas, The_Murker (and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few) was both inspiring and challenging
Qaz - because the PipBoy couldn't exist without his talent
There is something I regret about my flagship team? Its name...
I created several teams inspired to Fallout fluff in those days, but something clicked on me only with the current version. I'm not completely satisfied by having "Squad" in the team name, Vault Boys (free), Vault Tec Boys (already used in another team of mine retired) or Vault BB Boys (free) seem more fitting to fluff and general naming convention for teams.
I never got in touch with admins to know if the team name could be changed, because after a while the Vault Tec Squad was an established Blackbox team and VTS a common nickname for it. Somehow, it didn't feel right to me...
So, what's your opinion? How much is disturbing to have "Squad" in the team name?
See you on the pitch in the 1000 games quest.
