sounds like a good plan, use all the smacks to get your spps and skills and when ready join a major.
Then play the rest fo your games in BB.

Kicking off a tournament with 4 MNGers sounds kinda cool. That's what journeymen are for I guess.

You will have problem doing that with elf team. They either get too many spps and advance to fast or get badly beaten up and not in tournament shape. From my xp you can make that with some toughter team and some matches in between tourneys if needed.

ranked sucks apart from tourneys, fair play

If you're willing to fill the voids in B games, it sounds workable. Otherwise you'll be depending heavily on your opponents' schedule for your play time.
You may find it a little tough to compete though if your only prep is the previous tourney.

I know, it will be hard, and more so with elves. In fact, I plan a darkies team as soon as I will retire the Wasteland_Loners :).
@Mateuszzzzzz: I will play pro and dark elves, so I will be able to fill some match during the E.L.F. seasons, but not plain recovery matches, let's see if it works.
@koadah: at least I will be able to play with large inducements! :)

Interesting approach, I like it! :-)
In fact I tend to prefer tourney matches over arranged ones with my only real ranked team, since I just don't like the part where you check out your potential opponents and so do they. If the team's not in a tourney, I simply put them on gamefinder and accept any offer.
Starting a new team that really only plays tourney matches seems intriguing, too.
Good luck!!

doesn't make much sense: if you only play tournament games in R, just play box. By doing this you're just denying the main difference between the 2 divisions
