To GLT or not to GLT
Last year I managed to win the stunty qualifier group for GLT, I had loads of fun, and eventhough my attempts in the finals were abyssmal I would love to try my luck again this year.
The problem is that my fight against losing my eyesight has taken a turn for the worse. I lost the eyesight of one eye 10 years ago, and through several surgeries and heavy medications I've managed to keep the other eye alive and functioning. A couple of weeks ago the world started to look distorted. Macular edema is swelling in the back of the eye. I've been treated with cortisone injected below the eye, and my eyesight has gradually getting better. I'm hoping it'll get back to normal again, however I don't know how long it'll take, and I don't know if my eyesight will be good again.
Should I apply to join GLT this year, and risk having to drop out (if eyesighht doesn't get better), or stay out and hope some other stunty coach will take up the torch?

I'd much rather have the chance to face you in the stunty qualifier, and deal with the sadness of you having to drop out if it came to that, than to not have you enter at all.

Tough choice. It won't effect me, but I would say go for it.
When you use the computer narrator to read this out loud too you, do you use a women's voice or a males?

Join and if your eyesight becomes worse you can still zoom the pitch and take a few minutes more each turn. I believe everyone would understand your situation and not timeout you.

I believe that Fumbbl is a genuine online family and as such I would encourage you to enter the tournament in the knowledge that no one would hold it against you if you did indeed have to pull out.

Well for it comes down to this. 'If it could possibly make your eyesight worse, and would be damaging.' Don't enter. 'If your only worry is about letting the staff down if your eyesight got worse.' Then honestly just enter. Sure, you may get a tournament ban if you dropped out (that's the rules) however everybody would understand (including the tourney staff) if it was the case. I seriously think that nobody would want you not to enter because of your reasoning.

@HM As a Tournament Admin I would just like to say that Bans for "dropping" out or failing to play games are generally applied when there is no communication involved. I am not overseeing the GLT but I am sure even the least human of the Admin staff would be fully supportive of the legend that is Shraaaag.
