Brave New Teams
A Forest Goblin vs Tzeentch match: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=match&id=2057012

Despite my initial misgivings (in the form of my opponent's 100/145 rating and my 100/65 rating) that I was going to get absolutely slaughtered in this game, I somehow managed to win it 2-0. This was due in part to a few unlucky rolls for necmo's team, and in part to previous (snotling vs tzeentch) experience with the new team, but mostly the rolls.
My first score came as necmo spent his first two turns collapsing one, and then the other, of his ball-and-chain players. This gave me an easy score on Turn 3 (ish) with a brave gobbo who ran through the lines and picked up the ball. However, both of his B&Cs regenerated, leaving him with no death and no BH.
After quite a few lucky hits in the second half, leaving a grand total of two horrors standing, I was able to run across the empty field with a goblin and score again on the last turn.

So, the team:
  • The spiders were about as useless as I suspected they would be. Bone head is always a disaster with how many 1s I dredge up, coupled with its low AGI + leap (another recipe for squished goblin bits) made these not really worth it.
  • The Shamans were KOed or BH before I had a chance to use them, and probably weren't worth it for me in any case because I always forget to actually use Hypnotic Gaze.
  • The Stikkas: These are really the only thing on the team worth what you pay for. The stake helped a lot on slaughtering poor defenseless horrors, and the generally okay goblin stats let me score a few.

Overall, I was surprised that I actually managed to win. The Tzeentch team, with their egregiously large TS, may seem powerful, but I suppose you shouldn't always judge a book by its cover.

However, I do have a couple of things of note that are the most broken on the Tzeentch side of the fence:
  • Multiple weapons on one player. This is just plain wrong. It means there's less of a chance that your weaponry will be spotted by the ref. Outside of this, being able to lob a bomb while spinning in circles is pretty ridiculous. Pogo stick and bomb is marginally less so, but still has the first problem.
  • Speaking of skills, all of them have too many. Compare to the forset goblin team, which is much more reasonably skilled. While playing around with the team creation, I got a TS of over 100 with 6 players. The Firewyrm by itself popped me up to a TS of 36, clearly ludicrous.

While I know the stunty leeg is a place for silliness and happy unbalanced nonsense, isn't that taking it a bit too far?
