Following my 2nd update I managed to get some time this Easter holiday to move the Sword Masters on a stage. Managed to paint their gems, even adding the fiddly white light dots, as well as touching up some areas, and sanding the bases.

Because I bought these off eBay they were already stuck to the bases, so I am looking forward to the next unit being based separately (ie without the model already stuck to it!). Once dry I will add a few rocks, undercoat, and dry brush up, probably in degrees of brown, which should hopefully allow the miniatures to stand out more. I will also aim to add tufts of grass too.

I also have to paint the banner properly (might just paint what is on there now and possibly customise much later on), and another round of touch ups, and varnishing.



Although it may not seem like much to most of you, I'm quite pleased with the results so far, but am just a little worried just 10 miniatures are taking me so long... I've still got archers, sea guard, reavers, spearmen, bolt throwers and phoenix guard to go, let alone the characters!... I'll be on version 50 of Warhammer by then! :)
