Oh well, think of another or use a variation.

Good idea, but you tend to hit the letter limit.

What other hardcoded reason is that?
or it could be that it has already been used maybe?

You did check that first before trying to make the team or this blog, right?

Not being allowed to start team names with "the". Obviously.
Posted by harvestmouse on 2013-03-21 08:46:08
I see! I never knew that was hardcoded (as I read the rules when joined).
That rule was in everyone's best interest due to how javabowl saved files. TBH I'm not sure it's a relevant rule now that we don't use javabowl anymore.
Still if it wasn't a rule, the name would have been long gone anyway.
Like every coach that complains on having their Inglorious B*****ds team name changed and thinking they're the first to come up with the concept.....

Rated 5, mainly for all the creative answers I like very much. :-)
Removing the "no-the-rule" would be interesting though. I wouldn't mind having a flood of teams starting with "The".

In the end I went with a play that is not as well known (several others are teams already) Coriolanus. I also got a nice picture from the recent film.
