Wasn't this 9 games earlier?
Posted by the_Sage on 2013-07-22 22:01:27
Oh it was 19, right. =)

Anybody else than me so much interested in this amazing countdown? :)

Wherever you're getting these stats, they are incomplete. Sinner has played 557 games with one DE team in R, & 18 more games with other R & B teams, plus a bunch of games with 13 other DE teams in old divisions. There may be other coaches you've missed too.

Coach ranking. Dont ask me what ruleset they are excluding.

Coach standing: N/A that is his combined ranking

OK, so that's where you got your incomplete stats. They're still incomplete. To genuinely claim to be the most prolific DE coach on FUMBBL, you'd need to play at least 836 games. And that's just to beat Sinner; there may well, as I said, be others you've missed.

Or, I could just aim for the current rule-set, and be done by this week!

But again, then your stats are inaccurate. Malmir hasn't played all those games in this ruleset. Maybe it's just me, but if I was going to keep banging on about some sort of personal achievement, I'd make sure I was clear about exactly what that achievement was, and that I had actually achieved it.

But congratulations on playing some completely arbitrary number of games, based on stats you neither understand nor researched, I guess...

So, basically, you´re saying that a number that does not count my old games in LBR4, and does not somebody elses old games, but just the new games that affect the rankings has no meaning?

Feel free to see if you can get an independent and automatic count of games under previous rule-sets if you want, I would say that is not possible unless you got direct database access.

I might ad that coach-ranking is not affected my league games either, while we´re at it.

"and does not somebody elses old games, but just the new games"

No. At least I don't think so, I'm having to assume your meaning as that isn't entirely clear. What I'm saying is that the total you've quoted for Malmir does include games under both CRP and LRB4. Which means that you not only will you not be the most prolific DE coach on the site in total, but also that number has no relevance to whether or not you are the most prolific purely under CRP.

And no, I won't be trying to get any further count of other coaches total number of games. I've already demonstrated that it's simple to get better information than you are using and I'm not the one making spurious claims in regard to how many games I've played, so I have no need to.

It is not simple, what you did was to collect information MANUALLY, from ONE TEAM that has not converted to the current rule-set. In-fact the coach has not played since 2011. Feel up to checking all 4500 coaches, and adding the games from current and retired teams, and do all that manually?

What I did was to use the sites database, or rather the web-access you get on the coach ranking page to calculate the number of games aggregated over coach by the teams that is using the current ruleset. Yes some teams have migrated.

Now, if you wish that could be done for other rule-sets (and in a verifiable way, i.e. by weblinks) I'm not the one to talk to. The reason it would have to be verifiable, and not from a site hack, is that it would immediately be disputed if it was not; probably in a blog comment such as yours!

It was fairly simple. I started here http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=teams&group=&race=&order=4&nav=1 to find Sinner without any manual checking. And I checked Malmir's first game with his main team to see when they first played.

And I don't have any wish for anything to be done, or for any stats to be more easily available. As I said, I'm not the one making spurious claims.
