As a spectator, I would be. ;-)

I need about a minute per turn, so 30 seconds would not be much fun. More importantly: you would not even manage to move a single player in that amount of time :)

it would be amazing to see if people can finish their turns within 30 seconds and still demonstrate skill.

You might need to strategically not move some players.

sounds crazy, i think a minute would be fine, the time keeps moving for Side step, Fend, Stand Firm etc...

I do have a 4v4 human open league that I am trying to get going that features 1 minute turn limits and 15-20 minute games. you might want to try joining that:).

I just spectated a low tv speed bowl game and even when there were only 17 players on the field, in every third turn a forced turn end was done.
can it be done without forced turn ends, with 22 players and with high tv?
@monkey man:
i was in a 4vs4 league a decade ago and the turns were never over 1 minute. its no challenge clock-wise.

this is true. the turn limit is there just in case. Turn times have never been an issue in the swiss 4v4 league I am running as well.

It's interesting, but I think the sweet spot for Fumbbl is one minute. BB1 used to do 40 second turns, but that didn't include the animations, so turns were longer.

30 seconds is for kids
speedbowl is 10 seconds
youssou n'dour is 7 seconds

this used to be a thing:

The 'Speed Freak Challenge'
One admin dominated at this speed, and was nigh on unbeatable. Earning the nickname Woodbot.

and that was before autopathing was implemented ^
Woodstock and Emphasy used to play 1 minute turns in regular games anyway

In the old client there maybe was no autopathing but it did not require a response from server after every move... made things much faster.
Now ping latency is very much a factor for this sort of thing.

1 minute sounds like the sweet spot ...mmmm yummy yummy get in my tummy :-D

30 seconds is nuts.
@Garion I thought the timer stopped when opponents (not their turn) have a prompt? Also even for some prompts that the person doing the turn have to click.

@Dominik how come you take so long in your turns if 1 minute is no challenge??
Posted by Lewdgrip on 2017-07-28 19:54:47
I also would be in. Just tell where to join.

To coach four players each turn is easily done within 1 minute.
