FUMBBL on the Radio
My local sports radio station, KFAN, has a show called Video Games Weekly... which I don't normally listen to because the only "video" game I play is here on FUMBBL...
BUT!! Tonight they had a special on board games and had folks from Fantasy Flight talking about Blood Bowl Team Manager. Imagine my surprise when I heard Bloodbowl on the FM airwaves!.. So I called in 8D
Granted there is not a huge audience for the show, as it is Tuesday nights and it's not a spectacularly dramatic topic (compared to actually playing the games)... but I got on the air and was able to plug FUMBBL three times!!! Even got to spell the website on the air =]
Here's the link. They take my call at 39min 20sec... and I highjack the conversation for 30 seconds to make it about FUMBBL from 41:15 to 41:45 :) It's not a huge deal, but I was rather proud that I got to mention something that is a regular part of my life that not many people are aware of on live radio in Minneapolis.
... and I got a copy of Blood Bowl Team Manager coming to me in the mail for being such an affluent panderer, so I have kindling for my next bonfire! Win / win.
*EDIT* I have since played Blood Bowl Team Manager as well as bought the expansion, and it is fun times. ;)

And definitely play Team Manager. It's sort of abstract and different than "real" Blood Bowl, but a great game to kill a couple hours (way faster when players know the rules), especially with people who know nothing about GW and our awesome hobby.
