GW didn't have the figure lines for them. So they converted the names to figures they had.

No, that's not actually true. There was a weird 4th edish Norse list that was totally out of whack. Wasn't balanced, didn't fit with the other lists. However Galak decided to base a list off of that. So the new list, is it balanced? Yeah more than any other Norse list. Does it make sense....no, not at all.

We have LRB6 Icepelt names. This is the ruleset that the BBRC made. However GW refused this ruleset and requested amendments. The amendments are CRP. So CRP is the rules but with the changes that suit GW. E.g. Norse name changes, removal of BBRC created fluff (good thing really) and removal of the 3 extra races (bad thing).
