Update on the Anti CLAWPOMB Team
In my last blog I promised to post again when I had faced of some of the big CLAWPOMB teams, so as promised a small update.
Today I played vs BillBrasky´s WMD's in The Box and KenThis´s Nihontō both matches came out win for the Dwarfs!
Needless to say I am quite pleased with this, but fair is fair and I have to say that both coaches rolled below the amount of damaged that could be expected even vs all my fend.
But that is also the hole point with a team constructed like my Dwarfs, stack the odds. With Thick Skull and fend on (almost) every player you have stacked the odds as good as its going to get, combine that with trying to avoid handing to many "free" block to the Mighty Blow Claw players and you have a decent chance of keeping most of your guys on the pitch. And if you do that odds are good that you can win over a standard CLAWPOMB team since removing your guys is pretty much the only game plan they can have.
Also mass guard is a god send, when you reduce them in numbers you can lock down their hole team, because guard and fend is very strong at keeping a team pined down in place.
I am very much aware that ill run into some matches where the team still gets torn up, regardless of my best efforts but for now ill enjoy that I dished out more hurt than I got and ill keep stacking up on more fend.
Also for anyone thinking about trying this out, remember that you should use your Apho only on BH and KO, dont use it on anything else (unless ofc the game is already decided) I got some apho handicap aswell, that two more players they have to take out if your lucky.
Thats all for now, I just have to mention that I ofc drunk on victory I had to have a 3rd match of the day, and got my ass handed to me by a bunch of High Elfs... *Sigh* quit while your ahead seems to be the lesson of the day ;)

Hmmm sounds to me like the lesson of the day is - take fend and you.suck against non cpomb teams ;)

True Garion :) but i knew going into this that I would lose a game or two to elfs :)
In this match it was mostly dude to one spetacular elf turn, one diced the blodge Ball handler dodge into TZ Pick up in TZ in the rain. And Then hé dodged the rest Of his team to cover up :)

I Will at some point, maybe if I join a major ill buy a death roller and some more RR but for now ill try and stay around 180 and skill up some more :)

Niebling is right. I had one turn that went very well when on defense in the first half. I also got away with some fairly fast and loose play to score in the second. In general, my dice were good (dodges and blocks) and the dwarfs failed to remove players from the pitch due to low armour and injury rolls. I think any kind of team will find these guys a challenge.
