Disappointed by a thread about MAXMAXING in the Box
I went to read the thread hoping someone had come up with some new kind of theory on how to win in the Box.
Turns out it was just a b!atchfest talking about some old points.
As a player that is always trying to come up with new skill combos, or new skill spamming strategies, or really anything new in the game... even if it is just new to me I was drawn in with the promise that someone would at least be discussing some hair-brained idea on how they had cracked the code of winning Blood Bowl games.
It gives me a sad. :(

It really is a relatively new strategy that you can use in BlackBox, as the ceiling for who you can be matched against has been removed after 30 games.
I dont know if a 150 tv team could be matched with a 240 tv team before the rookie protection but it can now (as long as boh teams have played 30+ games). So i do believe that this premkse of maxmaxing is kinda new, as you can go up in all the TV you want and still be matched against the same opponent as you would at 240TV, compared to say that your team wasnt 'maxed' at 200TV. Revolitionary as far as CRP and TV based matchmaking goes, but not with Bloodbowl itself.
So by all means max out if you have the means and over 30 games played because frankly, a high or 'bloated' TV wont stop you from getting games, as long as younand somebody in the draw has 30+ games played.

I had a blast playing chaos at 2400 TV with freaky stars and a long bench. That was ranked though where I didn't have to slog through endless carbon copies of the same roster all the time at high TV. Still I'm hoping for MAXMAXING to become the new thing to do :)

I feel like the Monsters' chances are getting better the higher in TV they get. Got a lot of nice tools and a solid bench.
It's not box, but tournament play. Giving away 500k or more of inducement money is much less an issue than giving away only 150k. I never limit myself by some imaginary TV cap. The sky is the limit! (And spiraling expenses are what drags you bag to earth and let's you crash into it.)

Well, there's maxmaxing in R too. Just ask Royal Cookie Crumble or Fleetfoot's Revenge. =D

It's new to box but probably not to life.. become the biggest and baddest and no one will be able to mess with you.
